# MRE 1.2 - Metrics Appropriateness and Effectiveness

Appropriateness of metrics and effectiveness of existing controls is regularly assessed and updated.

NIST AI RMF (in the playbook companion) has not defined MRE 1.1; however, 

Seclea Platform defines the relevant checks to this control requiring:

* A detailed description of the appropriateness and effectiveness of the metrics adopted by the organisations.
