# MGE 2.3 - AI Deactivation Mechanism

Mechanisms are in place and applied to supersede, disengage, or deactivate AI systems that demonstrate performance or outcomes inconsistent with intended use.

NIST AI RMF (in the playbook companion) has not defined MGE 2.3; however, Seclea Platform defines the relevant checks to this control requiring:

* Detailed documentation of the organisation's mechanisms to deactivate the AI application.
