HVF03 - Human Oversight - Biometric Identification Systems

This control deals with the Human oversight mechanism details:

  • Detail or upload a document detailing your assessment of the extent to which signs of anomalies, dysfunctions and unexpected performance can be detected and notified to the authorised (human oversight) personnel. Requires full understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the system,

  • Detail or upload a document detailing your assessment of measures in place to ensure that users remain aware of the possible tendency of automatically relying or over-relying on the output produced by an AI application (automation bias),

  • Detail or upload a document detailing your assessment of the extent to which the output of the AI application can be correctly interpreted, taking into account, in particular, the characteristics of the system and the interpretation tools and methods available,

  • Detail or upload a document detailing how the human oversight system has the ability to disregard, override or reverse the output of the AI application,

  • "Detail or upload a document detailing how the human oversight system has the ability to intervene in the operation of the AI system or interrupt the system through a “stop” button or a similar procedure.
